Position Description:

Factory Expo Furniture is a fast-growing valley furniture store looking to open new locations. We are searching for a Showroom Sales Manager who will be responsible for driving top line sales revenue while maintaining a high service level. This person must create a culture of customer and employee satisfaction by providing leadership, direction, and support to retail sales staff while also generating their own sales revenue. This manager will work closely with our divisional VP to ensure that all facets of the business are functioning efficiently. They should be able to guide showroom operational activities and effectively implement company programs to support company initiatives.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Grow and maximize sales by maintaining excellent customer service standards, having an entrepreneurial mindset, and developing strong customer relationships
  • Exemplify leadership in operational performance of the retail store
  • Continually improve the in-store customer experience by ensuring point of purchase signage, showroom layout, and cleanliness standards are maintained to the highest level
  • Assist in wholesale buying, strategic marketing planning, and operational excellence programs
  • Maintain exceptional operational standards such as immaculate attention to detail, inventory accuracy, and client experience satisfaction
  • Analyze local market data in order to identify trends/gaps impacting sales and customer service
  • Assist in monitoring social media outlets in order to build exposure and credibility, and encourage customers to engage with Factory Expo Furniture by leaving positive reviews
  • Demonstrate a high degree of integrity, business ethics, and commitment to organizational goals

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail store management; furniture, mattress, and/or design preferred
  • Proven understanding of all facets of retail including business development, visual merchandising, and store operations
  • Thorough understanding of pay structures in sales and performance metrics
  • Willingness and availability to work during peak business periods, including weekends
  • Knowledge and experience with POS and inventory management systems, Microsoft Office products, and social media platforms. Must be able to lift and move heavy objects (50 pounds or more) as requested

 

Compensation Plan:

  • $50,000 base salary + commissions + store overrides   (target compensation $75-$125K)
